I haven’t talked about this much, but the last couple of months have been… a lot. I’ve been dealing with these random, intense migraines and head pain that basically came out of nowhere and were coming almost every day. I did all the things… MRI, bloodwork, multiple visits with different doctors… and everything came back perfectly “normal.” Which is great… except it still didn’t explain why I was hurting.
Instead of digging into the why, the doctors just kept rotating medications. One of them was literally a $1,400 prescription. I walked out feeling like there had to be a better way to understand what was going on inside my own body.
So I took matters into my own hands.
I ordered an at-home sensitivity test because I’d had some suspicions, and honestly… the results were WILD. Not surprising, but wild. One of the biggest red flags it showed was gluten, and I decided to try cutting it out just to see what happened.
And y’all… my body feels so much better.
Not magically healed, not perfect, but noticeably different in a way I can’t ignore.
I’ve also been adding magnesium and salted electrolytes into my daily routine (shoutout to my fellow migraine girlies who understand the electrolyte life), and the combination has made such a difference! Way more than I expected, honestly.
If you’re curious about the at-home sensitivity test I used, it’s from Check My Body Health.
I’m not sponsored, not partnered. Literally nothing like that. But if you click the hyperlink above, they did give me a little referral link, so it’ll save you some money if you want to try it. (And if you don’t, that’s fine too. I just wish someone had told me about this before my 5th doctor’s appointment.) I might even do a full breakdown in another article… what the test measures, how easy the sample was to send off, and how the results came back… because it was honestly such a good experience.
Anyway… I just wanted to share what’s been going on, because health stuff can feel so isolating. If you’re struggling with weird symptoms, migraines, or your body just feels “off,” you’re not alone. And more importantly, you’re not crazy for wanting answers!
If this helps even one person find some clarity or relief, it’s worth sharing.
