I Went to the NEW Coach Coffee Shop (So You Don’t Have To)

I decided to check out Coach’s new coffee shop on a lazy Saturday, mostly out of curiosity and a hint of FOMO… I arrived around 3:20 PM (because let’s be real… I thought no one would be buying coffee at three in the afternoon). Almost immediately, I was swept up by a line that looked like it belonged outside a secret club.

Originally, I heard some buzz about the coffee shop online, and any photo content I saw paired with that buzz was a super cute neon sign at the front… And I’m a sucker for aesthetics, so obviously I had to take a photo.

I finally made it to the front at 4:01 PM (40-minute wait for coffee… again, at THREE in the afternoon). The barista was super friendly and offered a few recommendations, naming the matcha latte, s’mores latte, and hot chai latte as the crowd favorite must-tries. I personally went with the matcha latte, while my boyfriend, Davis, opted for the s’mores latte.

Coffee Shop Vibe Check

Inside, space was at a premium. With only three tiny tables available, it quickly became clear that the cafe is more about the vibe and the visuals than actually sitting down and savoring your drink. Keep in mind, the coffee shop is located inside an actual Coach store. We ended up grabbing our lattes, walking around the Coach store for a vibe check, before heading back to the car so we could sit down and enjoy our purchase in peace.

My matcha latte arrived looking picture-perfect, but the taste was a bit… underwhelming. The expected punch of matcha was mostly hidden behind a heavy dose of oatmilk – pleasant enough, but nothing to write home about. Davis’s s’mores latte, complete with a few adorable marshmallows on top, was similarly unremarkable. It was cute and did its job, but like mine, it didn’t exactly deliver a wow factor.

Food was on the menu too, so we couldn’t resist trying a couple of items. The ham and cheese croissant was a pleasant surprise: the cheese was creamy (though I can’t quite place the type) and the ham came in neat little cubes. In contrast, the blueberry muffin was just that. A blueberry muffin. Delicious in its own right, but perfectly average.

Adding to the overall ambiance, they had a DJ (shoutout to @DJCassandra_) bumping STELLAR music in the background. I’m not sure if this is a permanent fixture or just a special treat for the shop’s early days, but it certainly injected a fun and lively energy into the space!

The Cost

No Coach experience would be complete without a peek at the merch. True to form, the shop’s offerings are priced steeply – I mean, a $40 notebook? But most items sat in the $35-$40 range, and they even had a tote bag at $95. It’s very Coach, but it definitely made me do a double-take.

Here’s a quick rundown of what this little adventure cost:

  • Iced Matcha (one size): $7
  • Signature S’mores Latte (one size): $7
  • Blueberry Muffin: $5
  • Ham and Cheese Croissant: $6
  • Subtotal: $25
  • Tax: $2.06
  • Tip: $5
  • Total: $32.06

All in all, while the coffee shop nails the aesthetic and overall vibe, the actual drinks and current wait times leave a bit to be desired. I’d agree with it’s current 3.2-star rating, maybe bumping it to a 3.5. Definitely an experience for the photo ops and for those curious about the brand’s foray into coffee culture, but perhaps not a spot I’d rush back to solely for the lattes.
